FAQ – Music Education Centre

What instruments do you teach?

Most of the popular ones; vocals, piano, guitar, bass guitar, drums, clarinet, saxophone, flute, trumpet, trombone, violin. Depending on teacher availability we can even help you with some less-common instruments like French horn, cello and orchestral percussion.

Do I need to have my own instrument before I start lessons?
If you want to get the best from your lessons then you have to practice, and if you are going to practice then you need to have an instrument. However you can practice the drums without owning an instrument. All you need is a pair of sticks and a practice pad and you can get started.

Do I bring my own instrument to lessons?
We don’t expect students to bring their own piano or drum kit, but in all other cases you have to bring your own instrument. If you are playing electric guitar, then just bring the guitar – we have the amplifiers and cables in our studios.
