Just how good are your teachers?
To be a teacher at the Music Education Centre you have to be accomplished on your instrument, knowledgeable about your instrument, knowledgeable about music-in-general, passionate about music, be a cheerful sort of person, and above all, be able to teach!

What sort of qualifications do the teachers have?
All teachers have tertiary or equivalent qualifications in music. They also have experience as performers, and most would be working musicians who gig every week. Many would also have experience in the recording studio and as songwriters. And, of course, all teachers have their Blue Card (a legal requirement for anyone working with children).

How far can they take me?
Our teachers have taken students through to the upper levels of AMEB grades and have helped others prepare for entrance to university music studies. (In fact some of our current teachers were once students with us who went on to university to become full-time musicians.) How far they can take you will depend to some degree on which instrument you play and just what level you want to achieve.
